Carolyn Pigott

Carolyn has worked closely with experienced Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers, Chiropractors and Physiotherapists, in gym, clinic and spa settings. She has over 20 years of experience. She has learned many valuable perspectives on how to encourage healing and functionality to return where it has gone out of balance. Since graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver in 2001, she has taken post graduate courses in Systemic Deep Tissue Massage, Muscle Balance and Function, Muscle Energy, Joint Mobilization, Visceral Manipulation, Somatics, Yoga for Massage Therapists, Myofascial Techniques and Hot Stone Massage. As a Registered Massage Therapist, Carolyn participates in ongoing continuing education to supplement and expand her knowledge and experience. She is a certified Somatic Yoga Instructor Level 3 and Clinical Somatics practitioner. Carolyn has been using somatics as a personal healing modality for over 13 years to recover from repetitive stress and to learn healthy ways of aging well.

Carolyn uses hands-on Somatics to gently guide her clients to sense where tension is being held that contributes to imbalance in the neuromuscular system. Through this awareness people can consciously learn to release tension patterns to feel a renewed sense of ease and freedom in movements to get back to living more comfortably. Massage is also integrated into the treatment.
