Luke Clarke-Kelly, Acupuncturist

Luke offers acupuncture and wellness services that integrate ancient wisdom and modern understanding, aiming to improve the quality of life of those he works with. He has a special interest in treating pain conditions and helping people with injury recovery, stress management, and emotional regulation. He believes that through reducing our suffering, we are better able to focus on pursuing healthy and fulfilling lives. His approach is informed by the bio-psycho-social approach, recognizing that health may be influenced by more than just physical factors. Through regulation of the nervous system, we can come into balance which Luke believes is the key to long-term health and wellness.

Prior to graduating the acupuncture program at Pacific Rim College in Victoria BC, Luke completed a 3-year program in Chinese Medical Qigong. He has received additional training in Balance Method acupuncture, myofascial needling, and modern pain science. In addition to his studies, Luke's background as a professional ski instructor, competitive freestyle skier, Tai Chi instructor, and a participant in a wide variety of other sports have given him a practical foundation in biomechanics and injury rehabilitation. His practice has been influenced by the Chinese martial arts, sports science, somatic therapy, Daoist and Buddhist philosophy, and the works of Carl Jung. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering which he finds balances his more esoteric studies. In his spare time, Luke loves cooking, playing soccer, and spending time with his family
